Geminid Report

Remember the Geminid meteors we talked about last weekend? It turned out to be a very good year for the shower. Skywatchers under clear skies saw lots of them despite a full moon. A serious snow storm hit our region that night. Most of us were just trying to keep our driveways shoveled let alone think about meteors.

Another minor meteor shower called the Ursids, which radiate from the Little Dipper, will be active later this weekend. More on this Sunday. (Photo credit: NASA/MSFC)
